The BluOne Townhall

BluOne conducted a townhall to give a brief about the genesis and vision of the ecosystem, make new announcements, and update the team with initiatives taken in the organization.

There has been a shift from the industrial age largely governed by corporate motives to conscious organizations – businesses that run on the philosophy of giving back. Our mentor and chairman, Partho talked about the balance between corporate interests of the industrial age and the philosophical ideology of conscious businesses being the driving force behind the birth of BluOne.

Partho focussed on the motto and belief of BluOne, Excellence in Execution – an expression for creating an environment, organization, or system where each individual expresses their full potential and delivers happily. BluOne believes in creating a workplace where the sense of fulfillment and content is at its heart.

Further on, Anirudh Chakravartty, our executive director, talked about the progressively growing ecosystem of BluOne in the U.S. and India which stands at more than 2000 people today. He also elaborated on the measures BluOne takes as a conscious organization to help create a positive impact on the world through the Auroveda and Auromir foundations – both not-for-profit ventures working at the grassroots level towards the development and empowerment of underprivileged women, children, and artisans in India.

The Townhall concluded with updating the team about various initiatives the organization is taking and rewarding the associates for winning the art competition and commendable performances at the workplace.

BluOne art competition

While dining and chatting in the cafeteria, a few people from various BluOne companies discussed to turn the space into a livelier and more vibrant one.

So, we actively started searching for ideas to liven up the space and indulge our associates in a fun, colorful activity. That’s when we held an art competition that dug up hidden artists in our people to help us enhance our cafeteria space with their colored canvases.

About fifty associates took part in the competition. They pulled up all the skills they had learned since their kindergarten. The final artworks were quite interesting and exceeded our expectations. The event wrapped up with loads of applauses and praises for our enthusiastic participants.

And now, BluOne has a lively cafeteria!

All appreciation to our associates with hidden artists in them.

Bleeding Blue! BluOne’s day out in the cricket field

Bleeding Blue! BluOne’s day out in the cricket field

BluOne organized a cricket match on Saturday, 28th Sep 2019 at Jaypee Atlantis Club, Greater Noida.

The day started with a trainer led warm up session. As with any physical training session, there were a few oohs and aahs, but everyone put in some efforts on their stretches, bends and twists which would show their effect in a bit.

The attendees were grouped into two teams: Blue Lightening (led by Jitender Rawat) and Royal Strikers (led by Paramveer Singh). The pitch was damp, and the conditions were overcast but Blue Lightening won the toss and decided to bat first. They didn’t have the best of the starts and lost their opener Sumit in the very first over. After the first setback, the inning was consolidated through a partnership between Chavvi (13) and Sridhar (30) for the second wicket. The impetus to the scoring was through a quick-fire half century from the captain Jitender. However, due to the regular strikes by the aptly named Strikers, Lightening could only manage a sub-par score of 155 for the loss of 8 wickets despite some late order contributions from Akhilesh (15) and Saurabh (13). For the Strikers, Ajeet (2/38), Tarun (2/18) and Sarvesh (2/30) were the key contributors with the ball.

In response, the Strikers started steadily with their opening pair of Kunal and Dilip building a partnership. Despite the best efforts of the Lightening bowlers, they couldn’t manage the breakthroughs as regularly as they needed. Credit must go to the top scorer and the man of the match Kunal, who kept chipping away at the target with his cuts and lofts. While Lightening managed a few wickets later in the inning, with Kunal getting run-out by for a brilliant 77 by an inspired piece of fielding by Rishabh, the target was always in sight for the Strikers. Ably supported by contributions from Vivek (18), Ajeet (7*) and Tarun (11*), Strikers reached their target with 2 overs to spare.
